Full Bio: Nan Bennett, Chief Executive Officer of Healthcare Benefit Trust, holds a B.A. (Psychology), Occupational Therapy Diploma and an M.B.A. Ms. Bennett completed the Associateship level courses of the Insurance Institute of Canada. She attended the University of Winnipeg and the University of Manitoba. She has an extensive background in group insurance underwriting, claims adjudication and vocational rehabilitation. Her previous employment history includes the Insurance Corporation of BC, Great-West Life Assurance Company and the Workers' Compensation Board of Manitoba. The Healthcare Benefit Trust provides group employee health & welfare benefits and related services to about 800 BC healthcare and community social service organizations and their 80,000 plus employees. The Trust receives annual contributions of approximately $225 million and administers a fund of more than $350 million. In addition to administering more than 850 benefit plans, the Trust provides rehabilitation services to employees with disabilities and employee and workplace health services to member organizations.
