Topic: The Way Ahead - Organizational Quality and Wellness focus for Health Care Institutions

Full Bio: John Perry is the Senior Advisor to the National Quality Institute of Canada and chaired the design committees for various NQI private and public sector national Excellence/Quality and Healthy Workplace Criteria. Mr. Perry led the development of the NQI Organizational Quality & Wellness Criteria - Health Care Sector, in collaboration with health care professionals across Canada and authored the NQI-PEP® (Progressive Excellence Program), four-step implementation and certification process for NQI Quality and Healthy Workplace Criteria. In partnership with the Toronto District School Board, Mr. Perry led the development of the Canadian Excellence in Education Program, a four step implementation and certification process on quality principles/practices for schools. Mr. Perry is a former Chief Adjudicator, for the CCAB Progressive Aboriginal Relations Program (PAR), in partnership with the Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business and a member of its development committee. He is a Steering Committee member of The Quality Worklife - Quality Healthcare Collaborative, a national coalition to improve quality of worklife in healthcare organizations across Canada, and Chair of Adjudication for the Ontario Hospital Association Healthy Hospital Innovators Award.

Mr. Perry is Former Chair of the Adjudication for the Canada Awards for Excellence, and member of the national committee on ISO Standards. In 2005, Mr. Perry along with environmentalist Dr. David Suzuki a recipient of the Canada Awards for Excellence/NQI Board of Governors Recognition of Achievement Award, in recognition of outstanding performance in the advancement of the quality of life of Canadians.
