Colleen McKinnell

 
 

Topic: Highlights of Watson Wyatt’s “Staying at Work” Survey

Full Bio: Colleen McKinnell is the Group Benefits and Health Care Practice Leader for the Western Canadian Region of Watson Wyatt Worldwide. Colleen is responsible for guiding the performance of the practice in the Western provinces and providing expertise to clients in designing and implementing a broad range of health and productivity and general group benefits initiatives. Colleen’s primary expertise is in assisting clients to analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of their health care programs and practices from a holistic, viewpoint to determine the optimal strategy to achieve increased program effectiveness, increased productivity, decreased costs, and an ROI from health care expenditures.

Previous to joining Watson Wyatt, Colleen’s experience encompasses nearly 20 years in Human Resources, with the later years as an executive overseeing the HR function. Her background includes working with professional services, financial services and manufacturing organizations and a particular emphasis on HR business strategy, Organizational Development and Performance Management.

Colleen’s Human Resource background brings a unique perspective to the Group Benefits practice – a first hand understanding of the drivers that challenge organizations to find the balance between employee engagement, productivity, and shareholder value.

Colleen is a graduate of Ryerson University and holds the Certified Human Resource Professional designation and an Industrial Relations from Queen’s University. She has completed extensive post graduate studies in management, organizational behaviour and employee and organizational development.
