Panelist: Labour Management Partnerships
Full Bio: Dr. Annalee Yassi is the Founding Executive Director of the Occupational Health and Safety Agency for Healthcare (OHSAH) in BC. She is also the Director of the Institute of Health Promotion Research at the University of British Columbia, and a Professor in the Department of Community Health Sciences in the UBC Faculty of Medicine. She has also been appointed to a Tier 1 Canada Research Chair in Transdisciplinary and Global Health Promotion Research. With over 20 years of experience in occupational medicine, Dr. Yassi is well versed in all aspects of occupational and community health. Dr. Yassi received her Medical Degree and her Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety from McMaster University. She has a Master’s degree in Epidemiology and Occupational Health from the University of Toronto and she is a Royal College Follow (Specialist) in both community medicine and occupational medicine. She has long history of working with both labour organizations and employers, and has worked extensively with Workers’ Compensation Boards, government departments and non-governmental organizations, as well as the private sector.
