Blog Post: Webinar Resources

Pain is universal to human existence. One in five Canadians experiences chronic pain. On average, they wait two to five years before seeing a pain specialist.

This half-hour webinar features Dr. Pam Squire who will take us on a guided tour of the resources offered in the Pain Toolkit which is co-authored by a collaborative of Canadian pain specialists, researchers and people living with pain. This toolkit will undoubtedly become an indispensible tool for people with pain in their journey towards self-management.

This webinar will offer some fascinating highlights on:

  • An overview of new resources & tools in the Pain Toolkit for self-managing and controlling pain.
  • A doctor’s perspective on how pain patients can work with their health providers.
  • An opportunity for audience participation through online polls and moderated Q&A

Dr. Pam Squire, MD, CCFP, is a family physician whose referral-based practice now specializes in complex pain. A Clinical Assistant Professor at UBC’s School of Medicine, Dr. Squire is also an expert consultant for the Worker’ Compensation Board and for private medico-legal work. Dr. Squire speaks and teaches locally, nationally and internationally, and is an advocate for the multidisciplinary treatment of chronic pain.
